The Application Site – The Sir Christopher Wren’s House Hotel is located between Thames Street, The River Thames, Thames Avenue and the Jennings Wharf Car Park, Windsor, Berkshire and is currently owned by Wren’s Hotel Group.
The principle body of the hotel facing Thames Street is Grade II Listed. The hotel has been extended towards Jennings Wharf to provide additional guest bedrooms and function room facilities. However the size and proportion of the rooms contained within this extension are now inadequate to meet todays requirements for modern guest bedrooms. Our proposal seeks to demolish this existing extension to the hotel and replace it with an up to date extension that provides a very high standard of hotel facilities as required in the centre of Windsor.
